Co-founder and Director (Honorary), MIS
Dr. LM Verma received his MTech (2018) and PhD (2024) Chemical Sciences from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi as a GATE (MoE, Govt of India), and University Grants Commission (UGC) Fellow. He is also a two-digit rank holder in national exams like CSIR- UGC NET (AIR-33) and TIFR (AIR-22) and GATE (AIR-301). Before this, he has spent his undergraduate years at LBS degree college Gonda, Avadh University for his (BSc) and University of Lucknow for (MSc); and have received an average rural schooling in state board education. While reading for his higher degrees at IIT Delhi, he has been in close association with Department of Chemistry and Center for Rural Development and Technology (CRDT). He was also supported by the Indian government to travel to the countries like Germany, Netherlands, and Czeck Republic for the scientific and educational purposes.
During these years he closely experienced and witnessed that how often rural students schooled in regional boards struggle and face challenges at the top tier national institutions like IITs and AIIMS, primarily due to their non-standard poor schooling. He realizes soon that the only way to make rural students to thrive at such institution is to start early at the primary and secondary education level so as to equip them with all the wherewithal, their urban top schools’ peers have. This vision was shared by his elder brother Shri. Raj mani Verma and the result was the initiative of ‘MIS’ an affordable quality rural schooling. Though, bringing quality with affordability is a big challenge but a little hard work, sacrifice and philanthropic attitude of the private management can make a difference.
Thus, fueled by his own personal experiences and a shared vision with his elder brother, he co-founded and is now directing and mentoring the institution to deliver a first-rate schooling at the contemporary standards mostly to the poor first-generation families. Expanding his vision in education, he also founded a national level organization “The Satyarth Foundation” with various stake holders, for mentoring the needy rural students and the institutions alike at all levels beyond the remit of the MIS. These institutions led by him are also open to social audits and are committed to welcome any such fair inquiries. The Satyarth also works for the protection, conservation and education of the environment and anyone with similar interest is very much welcome to join this mission.
