Mr. RAJ MANI VERMA, BSc, BA

Co-founder & President, MIS

Mr. Raj Mani Verma received his BSc, and PGDFSM from Annamalai University, Tamil Nadu and National Institute of Fire Safety and Management (NIFS), Visakhapatnam, followed by BA degree from LBS College Gonda, Avadh University. He then worked with multinational companies like Larsen and Toubro (L&T) and Doosan contributing to various international projects in the range of capacities, specially taking care of fire safety engineering and management. Working with these multinational companies, he got exposed to professional work, culture and technological spaces of India and abroad especially in middle east countries. Since he has also been schooled in the state board rural schools thus while working, he felt and witnessed various difficulties faced by the staff in high corporate world who has not been properly schooled. Following a discussion at Jwalamukhi hostel in the year 2017, with his younger brother Dr. LM Verma he decided to take the initiative of MIS as a quality rural and affordable schooling. As, he shares this vison with his younger brother to ensure the quality rural schooling for the poor first-generation families and the socio-economically disadvantaged groups. Thus, they both as brothers stand ready to face all the challenges in ensuring the quality affordable schooling in rural areas.

His personal philosophy as president of MIS is to deliver to socio-economically weak families by restraining his economic interest. He now regularly works for the school taking care of its all the daily concerns. He also loves teaching to the kids and spends time in providing counselling to the rural parents and students in that area in general. He also finds himself available to the needy students (at all levels) in the area beyond the remit of MIS to help them with their financial needs as well as mentorship through his national level organization “The Satyarth Foundation” which works in ensuring equity in education and the protection of the environment. Anyone interested in promoting the environmental cause and equity in basic education is very much welcome to join the cause.
